Rory Sacree
Hi I’m Rory, “The Sac” to my friends ! I am a keen waterman and love being on or in the water when I can. I have been a beach lifeguard since 2001. I have been part of the RNLI’s international training team in West Africa and have worked as a lifeguard as far afield as New Zealand.
My main passion is surfing and surf related activities. I enjoy the bigger days and winter swells on my shortboard but nothing beats SUPing a clean summer swell on a hot sunny day! I do love paddling down a grade five rapid from time to time too!
As the ocean is both my office and my playground I can’t help but be passionate about doing my part in protecting it. I volunteer for Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s Marine Strandings Network and I am also a Marine Mammal Medic for the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR). I am also part of the Plastic Movement which is a group of local people trying to raise awareness about plastic pollution in our oceans. “Love where you live!”
